Barbara Rocks trained with the IYA and developed a strong professional foundation in Hatha Yoga. She then completed a Remedial training with the Yoga for Health Foundation and this has enabled her to also adapt or modify strong Hatha Yoga Asanas to suit individual needs.
Barbara broadened her teaching skills by completing two years intensive study with Jenny Beeken
“Yoga of the Heart” and enjoyed a year of
Iyengar Yoga.
Donna Farhi and Angela Farmer are two of her most influential teachers. Another great love of Barbara’s
is Somatics. Studying Somatics has greatly enhanced her understanding of Anatomical Movement.
Barbara is also a qualified Deep tissue Massage/
Body Worker.
Barbara practises in small classes in:
Gorey Yoga Studio, Co Wexford;
Sighle Yoga, Dalkey; Gort Muire, Dundrum
and Aughrim National School, Co Wicklow.
